What is Diabetes?
Diabetes, is a chronic disease that occurs when the the body is no longer able to produce energy from the sugar we are eating daily. This happens either due to failure in producing Insulin (a hormone that the body produces to use sugar that we get from food we eat and produce energy) or failure of our body to use Insulin well. Not being able to produce insulin or use it effectively leads to raised sugar levels in the blood. Over the long-term high sugar levels are associated with damage to the body and failure of various organs and tissues.
